Adult Dependent Relative Visa
Caring for Elderly Parents & Relatives from Pakistan, India & Bangladesh
In our communities, looking after elderly parents is not a legal obligation you weigh up — it is simply what you do. It is what your parents did for their parents. It is part of who you are.
But when those parents are alone in Pakistan, India, or Bangladesh — perhaps unwell, perhaps no longer able to manage independently, and with their only family thousands of miles away — the distance becomes more than difficult. It becomes unbearable.
The Adult Dependent Relative Visa exists for exactly these situations. It allows you to bring an elderly or seriously ill relative to live with you permanently in the UK, where you can care for them yourself. But it is one of the most demanding visa routes in the entire immigration system — and the Home Office sets an exceptionally high bar.
The application requires detailed medical evidence. It requires proof that the care your relative needs is not available — or not affordable — in their home country. It requires financial evidence showing you can support them in the UK. And it requires all of it to be presented in a way that tells a clear, compelling, and truthful story.
We will not give you false hope. If the application is not ready, we will tell you, and we will tell you what needs to change. But if your circumstances genuinely qualify — we will fight for your family with everything we have.

WHY THIS VISA MATTERS TO OUR COMMUNITIES
Many families from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh have elderly parents living alone back home, or relatives with serious health conditions who need constant care. In many cases, the level of specialist care they need is not available or affordable in their home country, or their only family is here in the UK. This visa route exists precisely for these situations — and we will fight to make your case as strong as possible.
